Peter Bassett's Satellite Spotting Handbook is good reading for young and old whether you intend to look for satellites or not. The author, an astronomy teacher in the U.K., writes with knowledge and from experience. The writing is easy to follow although it is more technical (while still entertaining!) in the photography chapters. He writes with humor and inserts many gems of interesting facts along the way. I never knew that the earth's shadow prevents seeing stars from the equator. I'm happy to have this book on my Kindle and plan to order some hard copies for friends.Product details
